Andrea Walker first got her taste of performing music at the young age
of four years old when her very encouraging grandparents involved her in
a childrens' choir at the church they attended. With such a musically
inclined family it was only natural. Later on at the age of eight she
started studying piano which gave her a solid foundation and
understanding of music and melody. Not long after she received a small
keyboard/synthesizer from her uncle for Christmas and began composing
her own melodies and recording them on tape. Now, in all honesty these
were all atrocities to music as she was so young, but it led her to
discover her passion and peace of mind lay with writing music and
singing.
In six grade she joined the school band, playing clarinet
and percussion, and also joined the school choir, immersing herself in
every available musical facet available to her.
When she was fifteen she
was introduced by her now estranged mother and step father to the group
The Crystal Method thus spawning an undying love for any sort of digital or
electronic music.
In early 2009 she decided it was time to begin her own project. She sat down infront of
her computer, determined, and ready, and everything just fell into a
place. She is now pushing the boundaries of digital music by combining
elements from world music, electro, trip hop, industrial, rock, dirty
south, and any other musical influence in her aresenal.
Though still
up and coming with a lot to learn, watch out for this girl. She's just
scratching the surface.
