I've listened to music since I can remember. I got my first guitar, an authentic mexican acoustic, from a relative of mine when I was around 10 years old or so. I used to be a left-handed guitarist when I first got it, but I wasn't interested in it because it didn't make those cool sounds that I've heard from an electric guitar. So, I gave up on it for a long time.
Then, my Freshman year in high school, I got my first electric guitar, a Squier Stratocaster, for christmas and I was interested in guitar again. I tried to form a band that same year with two of my friends where I was the vocals/guitar, one was the Emcee, and the other played synthesizer/guitar, "Inversive Conversion". But the synthesizer/guitar player didn't see promise in the band because we didn't even jam so he quit.
My sophomore year, my other friend and I tried to continue the band with just the two of us but with a different name, "Politically Incorrect". He wanted to be the drummer but didn't have a drum set. We eventually broke the band up and I decided to go solo since then.
However, the summer after I graduated high school I became the bass player for a Black Metal/Death Metal/Grindcore band called A Wraith Reborn based in Lake Elsinore. There were a few lineup changes with the only constant members being me on bass and my friend on drums. The band broke up a year after because our drummer's father was not comfortable with us jamming with a guitar player that was quite older than us(us being 19 and him being in his 30s).
Right now I'm just taking a break from this and playing in a metal band in Lake Elsinore as the vocalist.
